The greater evil, in my assessment, is the warm home up the road where the people are able to sit down to a meal and enjoy the creature comforts of home. The evil of this situation is intensified the more the family is aware of the atrocities being committed down the street correlated with the amount of creature-comfort pleasures they are enjoying.<BR/><BR/>The above image is an exemplar of an aspect of eternal cosmic dualism that I find particularly repugnant: the idea that the inhabitants of Heaven will be in bliss while those in Hell are in torture. Even if Heaven's inhabitants are unaware of those in Hell, classical theology posits that God will be. The fact that God can supposedly enjoy the fellowship of the redeemed in Heaven while a majority of His children writhe in Hell is the characature of a sadist.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
